Meta Tags what are they?

According to white-hat-web-design.co.uk- Meta Tags – A HTML tag that provides information about the web page. Meta tags may contain information about what the page is about (keywords and description), who wrote the page, when they wrote it and much more. Many search engines use this information when indexing pages. 

To find the meta tags on your website, click the View tab at the very top of your web browser, then mouse down and choose Page Source. You will be able to see all of the code that takes place behind the scenes of your website. The meta tags will be toward the very top. When creating the title tags and the description tags for a website, make sure each page of your site has a unique title and a unique description tag.

The Meta tags will look something like this
